Website repairs and updates in Darlington
Something wrong with your website? I’ll fix it, usually within 24 hours
You don’t always need a new website. Often a few things put right make the difference between a site that loses customers and one that brings them in. Fixed price, agreed first.
Problems I fix
“Not secure” warnings
Missing or expired security certificates (HTTPS), and old addresses that don’t move visitors to the secure version.
Hard to use on a phone
Text too small, buttons too close together, pages that run off the screen, and phone numbers you can’t tap.
Contact forms that don’t arrive
Forms that look fine but never reach you, or land in spam. I test them end to end.
Slow pages
Huge photos, old plugins and code that holds the page up. Usually the quickest win of all.
Out-of-date details
Old prices, opening times, COVID notices, an old copyright year, or a phone number that’s changed.
Not showing properly on Google
Page titles like “Home”, missing descriptions, and leftovers from another site in the hidden details.
Hacked or spammy pages
Strange links, unfamiliar pages or warnings from Google. I clean it up, update it and tell you how it happened.
Old, unpatched software
Out-of-date WordPress, themes and plugins brought up to date, carefully, with a backup first.
How it works
- Tell me what’s wrong, or ask for a free review and I’ll find the problems for you.
- I send you a fixed price for the fixes. No hourly billing.
- You give me access to the site, or I help you find it.
- I fix it, usually within 24 hours, and show you what changed.
If your site has several problems, it may be cheaper to replace it than keep patching it. Read should you repair your website or replace it?, or see website redesign.

Common questions
Can you fix a website someone else built?
Usually, yes. I’ll need access to where it’s hosted, or to its admin login (WordPress, Wix and similar). If nobody has those details, I can often help you get them back.
How quickly can you fix it?
Most quick fixes are done within 24 hours of getting access. If your site is down or showing a security warning, tell me and I’ll look at it first.
What if it can’t be fixed?
Then I’ll tell you, before you pay anything for a fix. Sometimes a very old site costs more to patch than to replace, and I’ll show you both prices.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. You get a fixed price before I start. £199 covers the most common problems; anything bigger is quoted first.
