The complete package: new website and photography
Relaunch price · £1,190 from 1 January 2027
A new website of up to 5 pages, plus a one-hour photo shoot at your property with drone photos, used throughout the site.
About half the usual price. Here’s how.
A business website from a UK freelance web designer typically costs £1,500–£3,000. Mine is £895, or £595 until 31 December 2026. That isn’t because it’s a cut-down website. It’s because of how I work.
| Typical UK price | Darlington Design | |
|---|---|---|
| Business website, built for you | £1,500–£3,000 (freelancer, 5–10 pages) £2,000–£8,000 (regional agency) | £595 (then £895) or £79 a month, nothing upfront |
| Ongoing care: hosting, updates, small changes | £50–£150 a month (freelancer plan) | £40 a month |
| Photography, including drone photos | Usually a separate photographer | £195, done by me |
I do every part myself
Design, build, set-up for Google, hosting, booking links, and the photography, including drone photos. Bigger firms pass a job between a designer, a developer, a copywriter, a photographer and a project manager, and each adds to the bill.
20+ years in IT
I’ve worked in IT for over 20 years, in banking, energy and water, and I’ve been building websites since 2013. I work quickly because I’ve done it many times, not by cutting corners or learning on your time.
No overheads to pay for
No office rent, no staff, no managers or account handlers, and no big advertising budget. You pay for the work on your website, not for running an agency.
Proven building blocks
Every site is designed for your business, but built on layouts, speed settings and booking links I’ve already tested, so I’m not reinventing the basics, and charging you for it, every time.
A clear, fixed scope
Up to 5 pages, a fixed price agreed before I start, and you supply the words and photos, or add the photography package. No hourly billing, and no surprise invoices.
What you don’t give up
A website built for phones first, quick to load, set up for Google, on your own domain name, with a local person who answers the phone when you need a change.
Typical UK prices from the ExpertSure UK website design costs guide, verified October 2026. They’re ranges, and quotes vary by designer.

Common questions
What does the free review include?
A plain-English page covering how your site works on a phone, Google’s own speed test, how Google sees your pages, and the problems most likely to cost you enquiries, each with a suggested fix and price.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Instead of paying £595 upfront, you can pay £79 a month by Direct Debit, with nothing to pay at the start. That includes hosting, the care plan and small changes. There is a 12-month minimum; after that it drops to the normal care plan price and the website is yours to keep.
How quickly can you build a website?
Within 3 working days of getting your words and photos, with time for a round of changes. Most websites take weeks; what usually holds them up is waiting for photos, prices and wording, so the clock starts once I have your content.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Your domain name and your content are yours. If you leave, I’ll help you move.
Do I need new photos?
Good photos make the biggest difference to how a website looks. You supply the wording and photos for your website, or add the photography package for £195: a one-hour photo shoot at your property, inside and outside, including drone photos of the outside.
Can you add online booking?
Yes. For catteries, kennels and groomers I can add my own booking systems. For guest houses I connect your site to your existing booking system, or set up a free one.
