Web designer disappeared? I can take over
It happens a lot: the person who built your website has retired, moved on or stopped replying, and you don’t know where it’s hosted or how to change it. Meanwhile the domain name and hosting keep renewing, until one day they don’t.
- I find out what you’ve got: where the website is hosted, what it’s built with, and who the domain name is registered to.
- I help you get control back of the domain and logins, so they’re in your name.
- I move it somewhere safe, back it up and update it, without your site or email going down.
- I look after it from then on, or fix what’s needed first if it’s out of date.

Common questions
Can you take over a website someone else built?
Yes. I’ll check what it runs on and who controls the domain name, move it to my hosting if that makes sense, and keep it backed up and up to date. If you’ve lost the login details, I can usually help you get them back.
My web designer has disappeared. What should I do?
First, check who your domain name is registered to and when it renews, because if it lapses your website and email stop working. Then get the website copied and moved somewhere you control. My guide explains each step, and I can do it for you.
Is there a contract?
The care plan is monthly, and you can cancel any time. Your domain stays in your name and the website is yours, so you can take it elsewhere if you ever want to.
What counts as a small change?
Things like new prices, photos, opening times, a new review or a short new section, up to 30 minutes a month. Bigger jobs are quoted first.
